The place of immigrants in our society: integration and clandestinity – what art can do.

Saturday 30th September 2017, at 6 pm
at La Commune centre dramatique nationale
2 rue Edouard Poisson in Aubervilliers

As part of the opening of the 2017–2018 cultural season of Aubervilliers, Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers and La Commune centre dramatique national are organising an encounter/discussion focusing on one of the issues underlying their programming.

Questionning the place of immigrants in our society: integration and clandestinity, this round table will be an opportunity to engage with and talk about La Commune's L’Ecole des Actes  project; Spanish artist Paloma Polo's Classes de Lutte residency project with the collaboration of the student in anthropology Léopoldine Manac'h; and artist Barbara Manzetti's Rester étrangers  project, backed by Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers. Also taking part will be Olive Martin and Patrick Bernier, artists working with a class of newly arrived immigrant pupils at the Jean Moulin junior secondary school, as part of the département's 1% for art scheme.

With the participation of Émilie Hériteau (dramatist), Paloma Polo (artist), Léopoldine Manac'h (student in anthropology), Barbara Manzetti (artist), Olive Martin et Patrick Bernier (artists).
