Pour une thèse vivante (vers son geste)
Un CCN en terre et en paille
a project by Claudia Triozzi

Tuesday 12 to Saturday 30, November 2019
at Les Laboratoires d'Aubervilliers

With le Festival d'Automne à Paris

Building an ephemeral space as the result of a research in action: this is the daring project of Italian performer and choreographer Claudia TRIOZZI. For the occasion, she settles in Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers, remodeling the space as a stage open to the public throughout the whole process of creation.

In 2011, Claudia TRIOZZI started a new cycle of creation, Pour une thèse vivante. She confronts research and creation, gathering artists, craftspeople and intellectuals all facing stage proof and body skills. Un CCN en terre et en paille is the result of that new creative cycle, an “object-architecture-space” built as a manifesto identifying her own practice.

The choreographer has designed a multi-faceted journey. During three weeks, several collectives will be building, using soil and straw, this CCN, inviting the public to participate. That collective life will be punctuated by various performing times, followed by three performances of Pour une thèse vivante. Disparate format constantly questioning the “doing” within theatre, built over 8 years of work, the show connects and questions the address to the other. An exceptional revival of Rope Dance Translations (1974) from the late American choreographer Andy de GROAT, who died in the beginning of 2019 will also happen, as well as the 2019 creation of Claudia regarde la danse

Constantly wondering about the very possibility of transmitting a practice, Claudia TRIOZZI plays around the premises of live performance. Within the development of thesis in research and creation, Un CCN en terre et en paille confronts the materials and reveals the very thinking
