Gangplank is an experimental project that connects lighting designers, musicians, dancers, choreographers, directors, videographers and other artists tied to the performing arts in an informal network. During one- to two-week workshops, these professionals exchange ideas, discuss, and compare their practices and their relationship to the use of technology in artistic creation. These meetings are also the opportunity to build documentation that may prove useful to all actors in the field of the performing arts.

From 13th to 26th June 2011, ten members of Gangplank have been working intensively at Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers. Extending the invitation to colleagues in Île-de-France have been the opportunity to expand the network, its lines of questioning, and possible responses. The tools developed during this period are presented in Le Journal des Laboratoires and on the website, as well as during two open workshops, on June 18th and 25th.
