A lecture proposed by Anna Colin
Anna Colin will be presenting the activities and objectives of Open School East, a space devoted to artistic development and to fostering the exchange of knowledge and know-how between the artistic community, local residents and the broader public. Open School East was co-founded by Anna Colin in 2013 and is currently located in a former library and community centre in De Beauvoir Town, East London. Open School East is an informal space for artistic learning and community and cultural projects, run according to principles of experimentation, cooperation and self-direction. Through its study programme and its public programme, Open School East works closely with 14 artists over a 10-month period, and, over the longer term, with a host of practitioners, local audiences and publics from further afield.
