For this collective session, proposed in connection with Le Printemps des Laboratoires and its main theme, Psychotropification of Society, Silvia Maglioni and Graeme Thomson continue their experimentation in idiorhythmic improvisation, focusing on its rapport with the dimension of the infra.
These notions may be helpful in creating a space of common infra/ctions, where a multiplicity of singularities can coexist in an ecology of transversal listening and awareness.
Beginning from textual fragments connected to the theme of Psychotropification and a variety of sonic materials, Idiorhythm (and Blues) will attempt to create a multiple timespace between words, music, noise and silence where each participant can follow their own rhythms while listening out for what others are doing and attuning their responses to the interstitial spaces of resonance.
Participants are invited to bring their own musical instrument or any sound-making device, but they can equally use their own body, voices, tongue, teeth or personal pharmacy to summon whatever infra-sound or frequency may be required.
