t(OUT)e une nuit - Nocturnal Committee #2 

For the second gathering of the Nocturnal Committee, summoning the tutelary spirits of Jacques Rivette and Chantal Akerman, Silvia Maglioni & Graeme Thomson invite you to join them in an all-night-long experiment in collective hypnagogic vision, plunging into the infra-dimension of the cinematographic image.

In small circles we shall be pursuing and multiplying our readings of the Dark Matter Cinema Tarot, a pack the artists have created using still-frames drawn from their own cinematic memory.

he session will be starred with projections, readings, sound-environments and other surprises, including the odd mystery guest or ghost, all in search of lost fireflies of a cinema of the night, traversing the universes of a number of filmmakers (Welles, Monteiro, Ophuls, Eustache, Lang, Bresson, Ruiz, Godard, Bene, Garrel among others) whose eyes have been struck by the beam of darkness that comes from their own time.

The meeting will end at dawn with a breakfast offered by Les Laboratoires d'Aubervilliers.
