David Poullard is a visual artist. Occasionally a designer of typefaces, occasionally a graphic designer, occasionally a teacher. His main field of investigation is everyday existence. His typefaces include the "ordinary" characters mostly used for setting up the texts for projects he's working on. In recent years his exhibitions – Tout autour, Entre-temps, Phrases d’une lettre, Sol, Y ci où vers – have been inviting viewers to question their perception of the written word. He delights in finding everything surprising, especially the most run-of-the-mill things.
