Unité (Boris Achour)
In the artist’s logic of "choosing not to choose", this first monograph by Boris Achour documents, in the most exhaustive way possible, his work since 1993. Through more than 80 photographic reproductions, Unité attempts to give an account of the artist’s work, an exploded, multidisciplinary oeuvre, offering a script for types of art in a constant indeterminate state between homage and impertinence, through successive layers and endless shifts. This work, also comprising four critical texts and an interview with the artist, aims to engage in a reflection on this oeuvre from multiple perspectives.
Texts by Guillaume Désanges, Chris Gilbert, Émilie Renard; interview with François Piron.
